So the US needs a ‘New Declaration of Independence’?

Well that is what, (The Messiah) says.

Obama calls for ‘new Declaration of Independence’

By Michael Neibauer

BALTIMORE —  President-elect Barack Obama capped the first day of his inaugural celebration here before a crowd of about 40,000 people by calling for a “new Declaration of Independence” and a return to the idealism of 1776.

At the climactic stop of his 137-mile train trip that began in Philadelphia, passed through Wilmington, Del. and was to end at Washington’s Union Station, Obama spoke of the need to recapture the spirit of the American revolution. “What is required is a new declaration of independence, not just in our nation, but in our own lives – from ideology and small thinking, prejudice and bigotry…” he said

He added, “Only a handful of times in our history has a generation been confronted with challenges so vast,” citing tough economic times and two wars. Americans today must call upon “the same perseverance and idealism that our founders displayed,” to deal with those challenges, he said.

In an 11-minute speech, Obama touched on some of the themes he is expected to expand upon during his inaugural address Tuesday. He warned that there would be “false starts and setbacks,” and admitted “I will make some mistakes” on the way to achieving goals of reviving the economy and dealing with conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Obama, the first African American elected president, made what appeared to be a reference to slavery, calling the U.S. Constitution and the Declaration of Independence “documents that were imperfect but had within them, like our nation itself, the capacity to be made more perfect.”

During stops along the journey that mimicked Abraham Lincoln’s pre-inaugural train trip, Obama made a fleeting reference to the 16th president, calling upon Americans to reach out to their “better angels” in coming together to solve problems, a phrase lifted from Lincoln’s first inaugural address.

Earlier Saturday, about 250 people heard a similar Obama speech inside  Philadelphia’s 30th Street Station. Several hundred more were inside the station, but blocked off from the speech by blue curtains and police barricades.

“It’s like they just bypassed Philly,” said Joyce Cunningham of West Philadelphia, an Obama volunteer but not one of the lucky 250.  “We played a major role. You tell him Joyce said we’re not happy.”

Others were content just to be part of the scene. “Here we are,” said Stephanie Williams of Salt Lake City, who flew in a day early for a family event. “We just had to take a shot.” It was heartwarming, Williams said, “for lifelong Democrats like ourselves to have so many people [in Utah] vote for Obama.”

Remember the Voter Intimidating New Black Panthers From Philly!

leave a comment »

Well THE AMERICAN PUNDIT explains that The Justice Department has not for gotten one little bit.

Justice Department Sues Thugs from New Black Panther Party

You’ll recall the thugs from the New Black Panther Party engaged in intimidation tactics in Philadelphia on election day, standing outside a voting precinct in black uniforms and bearing billy clubs. Well, the Justice Department evidently hasn’t forgotten about them, either. It’s filed an injunction against said thugs.

Justice Department Seeks Injunction Against New Black Panther Party
Lawsuit Seeks to Prohibit Voter Intimidation in Future Elections

WASHINGTON – The Justice Department today filed a lawsuit under the Voting Rights Act against the New Black Panther Party for Self-Defense and three of its members alleging that the defendants intimidated voters and those aiding them during the Nov. 4, 2008, general election.

The complaint, filed in the United States District Court in Philadelphia, alleges that, during the election, Minister King Samir Shabazz and Jerry Jackson were deployed at the entrance to a Philadelphia polling location wearing the uniform of the New Black Panther Party for Self-Defense, and that Samir Shabazz repeatedly brandished a police-style baton weapon.

“Intimidation outside of a polling place is contrary to the democratic process,” said Acting Assistant Attorney General Grace Chung Becker. “The Voting Rights Act of 1965 was passed to protect the fundamental right to vote and the Department takes allegations of voter intimidation seriously.”

According to the complaint, party Chairman Malik Zulu Shabazz confirmed that the placement of Samir Shabazz and Jackson in Philadelphia was part of a nationwide effort to deploy New Black Panther Party members at polling locations on Election Day. The complaint alleges a violation of Section 11(b) of the Voting Rights Act of 1965, which prohibits intimidation, coercion or threats against “any person for voting or attempting to vote.” The Department seeks an injunction preventing any future deployment of, or display of weapons by, New Black Panther Party members at the entrance to polling locations.

The New Black Panther Party for Self-Defense, which claims active chapters nationwide, is distinct from the Black Panther Party founded by Bobby Seale in the 1960s.

The Civil Rights Division enforces the Voting Rights Act of 1965. To file complaints about discriminatory voting practices, including acts of harassment or intimidation, voters may call the Voting Section of the Civil Rights Division at 1-800-253-3931. More information about the Voting Rights Act and other federal voting laws is available on the Department of Justice’s web site at www.usdoj.gov/crt/voting/index.htm.

And as American Pundit said.  GOOD.  I hope they teach these gentleman a lesson, and make an example for others in the future that have and stupid ideas.

Can someone inform me of what movie, or video game will get the blame?

with one comment

Okay I’m sorry that people don’t want to take responsibility for their actions, but enough if enough.  When and if these sick, inhuman individuals get caught, I want to know who is going to be held responsible.  Oh I saw it on such and such a movie, or on this new video game I have.  I can just hear it now,

“this is not how my child acts, if it weren’t for that disgusting movie, or game this wouldn’t have happened.”

You know folks; I’m so sick and tired of that excuse.  We should be held accountable for our actions.  Hey I’ve done some real stupid things in my life time, and even when I first tried to blame someone or something else, in the end it always came back to bite me and I’d wished that I would have just held myself accountable from the beginning.  But whenever we hear of violent and disturbing crimes committed by today’s children, we always here the same excuses come out of the parents mouths.  Well I’m sorry but if the parents want to get the blame off of their children, than I say we grant their wishes.  Instead let’s put the blame on the parents for buying the game without checking it out, or buying/renting that movie without seeing what the movie is about.

Parents these days get to involved with their busy lives and schedules, and just give their kids what they want to stop the bickering or begging or whining.  Well that is a practice that way too many parents practice today.  It all falls in with the pushing of “it takes a community to raise our children today.”  Well I for one will not sit back and listen to such garbage without speaking up anymore.

We have a story here:

Cops looking for youngsters who burned pit bull to death

Motivated by whatever inspires the minds of the sadistic, three or four youngsters burned a pit bull to a crisp Thursday.

The kids first took the dog for a walk. Then, when they got to their destination – the rail tracks near the Olney train station – they went to work, covering the pit bull with a towel, dousing it with lighter fluid and finally setting the mutt ablaze, said George Bengal, chief law-enforcement officer for the Pennsylvania SPCA.

PSPCA officials yesterday announced a $10,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and prosecution of the sickos who burned the pit bull to death.

Local residents spotted “three or four juveniles” near the scene Thursday night and called police.

Bengal said when he and his partner got out to the scene, on Tabor Road near Mascher, at about 6:15 p.m., they found cans of lighter fluid and the horrific remains of the still-smoldering dog.

“It appears these kids had nothing better to do than set a dog on fire,” he said. “It’s appalling.”

Investigators found tags on the dog and are trying to track down the owner, Bengal added.

Another lifeless dog was found in a trash bag just a few feet away from the remains of the burned animal. It appeared the dog in the bag had been there for about a week, Bengal said.

The discovery of the dead dogs came just a few weeks after District Attorney Lynne Abraham appointed Barbara Paul, an assistant district attorney, to specifically handle animal-cruelty cases.

Abraham noted at the time that the number of animal-cruelty cases in the city were dramatically rising, and referred to research that suggested people who harm animals are more likely to commit other violent acts.

“How we treat our animals is a reflection upon society as a whole,” she said.

Anyone with information can contact the PSPCA at 1-866-601-SPCA or e-mail cruelty@pspca.org. *

Folks this is just disgusting and outlandish behavior.  I don’t care what your think a good excuse is, there is not one for the actions of these certain individuals.  I would like to know where the parents were, and what they teach their children when around.

Oh but then if we don’t blame the kids or parents, we always have those really wacko individuals that will blame our government and religion and anything else they can find to try and associate it with the Conservative way of life.

“How we treat our animals is a reflection upon society as a whole,” True that, but you don’t have to look hard to other barometers of our depraved, capitalist society. Look at the state of our schools, correctional institutions, social services, foreign policy, gun ownership, religious piety, etc. pretty sick picture all in all. U.S.A!!! U.S.A.!!!”

“These kids are only emulating a cultural tradition of sadism and depravity brought upon by religious teachings and cultural luminaries such as Michael Vick, Mel Gibson and the bush administration’s crack team of legal and military experts responsible for Abu Ghraib and Guantanamo bay. The children are only trying to find their place in a moral order gone astray. To them torturing defenseless animals is akin to needlepoint or folk dancing.”

“Also, before you start hating on me bear in mind that jebus didn’t torture animals until after he got married. Just saying.”

Okay these few comments from the website have just demonstrated the ignorance and incompetence that our youthful society has had to put up with and grow up learning from.  We need to stand up and save the future generation from living this way, and letting things get even worse.

Whatever Happened to that Famous “Race” Speech?

leave a comment »

I was just reading through the Sunday Newspaper and came across a great column”Obama’s Speech Rings Hollow” by Charles Krauthammer.  Then it actually got me wondering what happened to all the hoopla and hype over Obama’s great “Race” speech in Philadelphia?  I mean for days afterward all we heard was how great he did and how we as a nation needed such a speech.  The MSM, and all those Obama loving TV networks were practically drooling over the speech.  I remember reading or hearing about how “this speech will go down as one of the greatest in history”, and blah, blah, blah.  I mean Bob Herbert a columnist from the NYT went as far as suggesting that the speech “should be required reading in classrooms across the country”.  I’ll give them one thing and that’s it, the man can speak to a crowd.  He is quite a speaker, especially when he has a TelePrompter.

Well if this speech was so great why aren’t we still hearing all about it?  It has only been a little over a month, and I am not sure the last time I heard it brought up.  How can something that great and powerful, be forgotten so quickly?

Could it be that the MSM, the TV Networks, and all those Obama supporters don’t want everyone to start setting their stop watches for Barack their new “Messiah” to disown his white grandmother, and the black community, just like he disowned Rev. Wright.  That came in his “race” speech as well, stating he “could no more disown Wright than his White Grandmother or the black community”.

Well after Wright repeated his radical comments in the public settings, Obama had no choice but to try and sever all ties with Rev. Wright.  Yes it just goes to show the typical politician and their desire to gain “political expediency”.  However I have yet to see the news conference where Barack Hussein Obama has disowned his “white grandmother or the black community”.  I’m sure I am not the only person interested in finding out when this news conference will take place.  Wait what am I thinking, he never knew how bad his 20yr Rev. was until April 28th when Wright was invited to the National Press Club.
