Fed-up Americans mobilize: More than 150 tea parties

By Chelsea Schilling
© 2009 WorldNetDaily

A revolution is brewing as American patriots and advocates of the free-market system unite in protest against out-of-control government spending – with a wildfire movement of more than 150 nationwide tea parties.

John M. O’Hara of The Heartland Institute is a member of New American Tea Party, a coalition of citizens and organizations concerned about reckless government spending, is helping coordinate a number of national tea party events.

“Our message is simple: ‘Bailing out’ reckless businesses and individuals is neither the burden of responsible, hard-working American taxpayers nor the role of government,” he told WND.

Here’s a tea party everyone can join! Sign the petition calling for the Constitution and common sense to prevail when it comes to spending…

O’Hara said there is no question the United States is facing tough economic times, but he believes many politicians are not proposing serious solutions.

“The Congressional Budget Office and countless economists say that the recent ‘stimulus’ packages will likely hinder, not help, our economy,” he said. “Tax cuts, not tax hikes and handouts, are the quickest, most efficient means of getting our economy back on track.”

O’Hara said legislators must listen to citizens who are tired of irresponsible policies so the nation can recover.

“It is time politicians heed the will of the American people and the clear signals coming from the financial sector: stop the excessive spending, cut taxes, and get out of the way. Only then will we unleash the resilient, entrepreneurial spirit of American’s that has made our nation great and which will propel us through this rough patch to more prosperous times ahead.

The New American Tea Party website states, “This isn’t a conservative or liberal thing. This is about government forking over billions of dollars, our money, to businesses that should have failed. This is about taking money from responsible people and handing it over to CEOs who squandered their own.”

Another organization, the Political Exploration and Awareness Committee, or PEACPAC, formed a website known as ReTeaParty and accepts tea party registrations from across the nation. It also provides detailed information on how to organize tea parties and posts photos of the events.

Tax Day Tea Party, a national collaborative grassroots effort organized by Smart Girl Politics, Top Conservatives on Twitter, the DontGo Movement and many other online groups, is also promoting the events.

WND has also launched its own tea party forum so citizens may exchange ideas, information and announcements about the “revolution.” After reviewing various website protest listings, WND found more than 150 tea parties scheduled for upcoming months and compiled one of the most complete lists on the Internet. Here are some scheduled tea parties:

Hidden Truth About The Mortgage Plan

with one comment

Via(THE HILL)

Phony mortgage plan

By: Dick Morris

President Obama and his big spenders are moving quickly, to the relief of those who are facing foreclosure on their mortgages. But the program they are offering will do nothing for those most in need.

In the fine print, Obama’s plan provides no relief for any homeowner whose mortgage exceeds the total value of his home. But these folks are the ones who have been conned into taking sub-prime mortgages so loaded with brokerage commissions, interest rate subsidies, bank fees and lawyer and title-company charges that the amount of the mortgage has ballooned. These high mortgage amounts, coupled with declining property values, have turned about 20 percent of American mortgages upside down, so that the debt exceeds the value of the property.

By excluding these homeowners from help, Obama is guilty of a holier-than-thou hypocrisy. Was it not Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac that encouraged such over-mortgaged properties? Was it not the Democrats in Congress who passed legislation urging Fannie and Freddie to weaken the standards to allow more low- and lower-middle-income families to buy homes?

How can Obama suddenly pretend to be so shocked — shocked — that about 20 percent of America’s home mortgages are now worth more than the property they finance? It was the insistence of liberal Democrats that made it so. When Housing and Urban Development Secretary Henry Cisneros demanded that Fannie and Freddie invest 42 percent of their assets in buying low- and lower-middle-income mortgages, and when his successor Andrew Cuomo raised the quota to 50 percent, what did they think would happen? When they explicitly told Fannie and Freddie not to insist on down payments in the mortgages they purchased, how did they think the purchase would be funded? Obviously, if you don’t require the borrower to put money down, the full purchase price must be covered by the mortgage. To now, piously, refuse to come to the rescue of those who fell for your party’s seeming generosity and bought homes on the terms it suggested is hypocritical at best.

But it is not only the over-mortgaged whom Obama will ignore, but those who have lost their jobs! If you do not make enough money such that your mortgage payments come to 31 percent of your income, you can’t get your mortgage refinanced. If your income has dropped to a point where your monthly payments on your loan consume a greater part of your earnings than 31 percent, you are stuck.

So we have Obama rushing to the aid of those who have been hurt in this bad economy, but exempting from his proposed relief anyone who has lost his job and seen a cut in income or whose property values have dropped below the amount of his mortgage. In other words, he’ll help anyone but those most in need.

And, once again, Obama would limit his aid to those who make below $200,000 a year. While he doesn’t specify this limit in his proposal, he does limit his intervention to mortgages of less than $720,000. At standard mortgage interest rates, such a loan would call for $60,000 or so in payments a year. To qualify for relief, your mortgage payment can’t be larger than 31 percent of your income — or about $200,000. Once more, Obama makes it clear that he is not the president of anyone who makes that much money or more. He is only the president of the other people.

Obama, of course, forgets — or doesn’t care — that those making over $200,000 account for almost a third of the total national spending and that you cannot stimulate an economy while constantly cutting off those people from any consideration in any government program. But Obama is determined to try.

Opps!! Obama and DNC admit Allegations due to Procedure?

with one comment

Well most folks would and will play this as nothing big, and that is the worst that can be done.  See we need to bring this to light, for the simple fact that we need to let Obama know that should he win somehow, that he won’t be allowed to sit around and twiddle his thumbs if we have questions.  At this moment it is not even a matter of this case being worth filing or not, “We The People”, are in control and must not forget that, and we must make sure that Obama and his leftist liberal buddies know this as well.

I hope this becomes a huge issue, and Obama and the DNC have to come out and start speaking on it publicly.  Barack Hussein Obama, “The Messiah” looks to be hiding something, or just thinks he is above the law and doesn’t feel the need to abide by the court of law.   But wait a minute I think if I remember correctly “The Anointed One” was once a lawyer himself in his younger days, oh that’s right he represented ACORN at one point.  Well with him being a lawyer, he of all folks should know the laws of the court and how many days you have to respond after requests are made.

Everyone I’ve brought you this post and giving you some of my opinions and hope others will gladly express their opinions, and it doesn’t matter if you agree with me or not.  But before you start laughing at me or thinking that Obama is clear in the water, I wouldn’t get to excited just yet.

See folks Jeff Schreiber over @ America’s Right has been doing an outstanding job keeping up with the Philip Berg Law suit against Obama and the DNC.  I don’t know the last time I have seen such hard work and work you can tell is full of pride, by the details he makes sure to give his readers.  Well Mr. Schreiber has the most recent information on the Berg Lawsuit right here.  So folks please go over and check out his work on the Lawsuit.  I’ll give you a taste of what he has on the latest developments.

According to Rule 36 of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, a party
upon whom requests for admissions have been served must respond, within
30 days, or else the matters in the requests will be automatically
deemed conclusively admitted for purposes of the pending action.

But folks please just remember this one thing if nothing else.  It is “We The People” who need to hold our elected officials accountable.  If we don’t then they will cross any line that may have been set previously.  Barack Hussein Obama must prove that he is eligible to run for the position of President of the United States of America, and if he refuses and becomes president, he’ll think he can refuse anything and will act above the line we are all held accountable for.

Oh and Mr. Scheiber is also working on the story that has been in the lime light as of late, from the API, claiming to have a recorded tape that says Michelle Obama admits that indeed Barack was adopted by an Indonesian step father.  Here is the latest report on that!!!

For those of you following the African Press International story the tape of evidence in question is set to be released at some point today.

But what are they really thinking?  Well they say it out loud for you too hear, so take a listen.  Gee can ya feel the love???

Now can anyone guess how many 1 finger salutes they were given????  Drum roll please…………………….!!!!!!

Heck if you thought I was going to take the time and count the stupid actions of a bunch of morons, you are nuts. HAHA  But it sure looked like a bunch.  Go back and count, I’d be interested in finding out.

Update: So much more love from Obama Supporters.

World Of Wonder staffers showing off their t-shirts.

Hat Tip goes to (Wake Up America)

She also points out that the MSM actaully decided to bring this up.

(ABC’s Political Punch, LA Times’ Top of the Ticket, The Politico and it was mentioned on Fox News at 9 a.m.)

And to no big surprise this is not an Isolated incident.  Here are more negative t-shirts aimed @ Gov. Palin (Freedom Den)

$85 Billion wasn’t enough for AIG.

leave a comment »

Folks it seems that AIG getting bailed out last month wasn’t enough.  So now our fearless leaders have decided to throw away another $37.8 Billion of our hard earned dollars.

I’ve seen this a few places but I’m giving this (hat tip to Conservartive Belle).  Below I’ve shown you just a small portion of what she has covered over at her spot!!!

A.I.G. Gets Another $37.8 Billion from the Fed?!!

So A.I.G. has already used $61 billion of the Fed loan they were given two weeks ago. This was done by October 3rd. And apparently they have exhausted the rest of the $85 billion they were promised. Because today the Fed is giving them another $37.8 billion.

The money will be used to settle existing transactions related to its securities lending business. Under that program, A.I.G. lent out securities to investors and others receiving both the value of such securities and a fee in return. The insurance giant then took the funds and placed them in other investments like mortgage-backed securities.

Now that the value of mortgage-backed securities has plummeted, A.I.G. does not have the money to repay those who are returning borrowed securities. As a result, the central bank is stepping in to take those securities and provide A.I.G. with cash to meet its obligations.

When we make Progress in Afghanistan the MSM never reports anyways!

leave a comment »

Well some news agency’s (such as the Irish Times) find that printing the positive progress we and our Allied forces make in the War On Terror is a good thing for all to see.

US-led forces, Afghan police kill 60 Taliban

US-led coalition and Afghan security forces killed nearly 60 militants during separate clashes in southern Afghanistan, the US military said today.

Violence has surged in the war-torn country with some 3,800 people, a third of them civilians, killed as a result of the conflict by the end of July this year, according to the United Nations.

US-led coalition and Afghan security forces killed 43 militants during heavy fighting in Qalat district of southern Zabul province on Sunday, the US military said in a statement today.

No Afghan or US-led troops were killed or wounded during incident, it said.

In a separate incident, Afghan and international troops killed 16 Taliban insurgents and wounded six more during a gun battle in Nad Ali district of southern Helmand province yesterday, provincial police chief Asadullah Sherzad said.

What is funny though, is that if we are to have killed civilians during a strike, evry freak MSM paper wants to print that story.  It is just getting disgusting to see the biased and america hating MSM not give a care in the world to investigate before posting news stories…

At a campaign rally yesterday in Estero, Florida.  An Anti-war protester thought he’d try to rattle Gov. Palin.  But little did he know, she was ready to put him in his place and shut him up, faster than he could blink.

So let’s see who still says she can’t handle herself, or handle being VP.  Looks to me like she can handle herself just fine.

Hat Tip (Gateway Pundit)

Well after seeing that, I’d have to say the Washington Post is pretty accurate with this story:

Unleashed, Palin Makes a Pit Bull Look Tame

All I can say is Go Get’em Sarah Barracuda!!!
